Since the project began in 2014, it has reached more than 400 people from over 70 different organisations in the East of England. The project offers a blend of cohort-based training, consultancy, small grants and a programme of day workshops and seminars. Topics covered include fundraising strategy, writing successful bids to grant making bodies, individual giving, legacies, crowdfunding, friends groups, good governance, commercial operations and business partnerships.
Initially funded for two years, SHARED Enterprise has been granted additional funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund to continue until 2018. This is excellent news, as it means we can continue to support museums in the East of England to become more confident and skilled as fundraisers.
