Led by an Accreditation Adviser and an Assessor, this ACE training event is aimed at all current and prospective Accreditation Mentors working or living in the East of England, and museum development staff that work with Museums and Mentors.
For those already mentoring it will provide the opportunity to meet with others involved in supporting Accreditation; catch up on the changes to the scheme and share experiences of the reality of mentoring Museums.
If you are thinking about becoming a Mentor, or have staff that may benefit from the CPD opportunities that Accreditation mentoring offers, come and see what it is all about.
Event to include:
- Key note address by Philip Wise, Accreditation Committee Member
- What does an Accreditation mentor do – in theory? What do the Accreditation Assessors need from Mentors?
- What is the reality of mentoring a museum against the Accreditation standard? Real life scenarios from across different types of independent museums.
- ACE update – changes to Accreditation support and guidance in 2015-16; etc
Arts Council England may be able to offer a travel bursary to enable you to attend this session. Details of these grants will be emailed in early January to everyone who has booked to attend.
