The Conservation Network are pleased to announce this exciting course at the UCM Herbarium, which is currently open only to members of the network, but which may be opened up to the wider SHARE community if places are available.
Below is a draft timetable for the day:
10:15am – Arrival and refreshments
10:30am – History of pesticide use in the herbarium
Time TBC – Tour – the new herbarium and stores looking at historic specimens, pest control methods and mitigation techniques for dealing with pesticide residues
12:45pm – Lunch (please bring a packed lunch or purchase your own in the restaurant)
1:30pm – Toxic plants in botanical collections
3:45pm – Close
Due to the size of the herbarium, places are limited to 12.
