This course is aimed at anyone who produces or would like to produce in-house object labels and interpretation panels for displays and temporary exhibitions.
This hands-on course will demonstrate how to produce professional-looking object labels and look at panel lay-out and design. Delegates will explore the materials required to make them, as well other uses for these materials, such as making scale models and templates for mounts.
There will be practical demonstrations as well the opportunity for delegates to gain first hand experience of object label making.
By the end of the course participants will:
- have considered object label and text panel layout and format
- know about the materials used in producing professional looking object labels and text panels
- have the skills and knowledge to produce object labels and text panels in their own museums
Morning refreshments will be provided, but please make your own arrangements for lunch.
