The Long Shop Museum
David Blackburn (Cambridge Museum of Technology) and the Heritage Engineering Network
The Heritage Engineering Network (HEN) encourages all volunteers and staff with interest in the use and management of heritage machinery to attend its meetings. The Network supports the management and delivery of specialised skills in museums and other bodies who carry out working activities with machinery in the area of industrial heritage.
This fifth meeting of the network will take place at the Long Shop Museum in Leiston, Suffolk.
The overall theme of the day will be Health and Safety – particularly angled towards industrial, engineering and transport Museums – i.e. those with big, hot, heavy, dangerous – and also moving – collections. The programme is still being finalised, but will include a keynote speaker, “walk round” and group discussion sessions, with time for questions.
Bookings are closed for this event.
