Sarah Holmes (Freelance Photographer and Museum Volunteer)
Supports work towards Accreditation Standard 2.5
Following on from several successful years running our Point & Shoot workshops on collections photography, freelance photographer Sarah Holmes, with Bishops Stortford Museum, has developed this exciting new course which will discuss management of your digital images.
The session will be an opportunity to explore current and future issues regarding digital image management and organising your digital image library. Case studies from the heritage sector will look at the practicalities of implementing digital image management. There will also be time for individual action planning around starting to create and maintain a digital image library.
By the end of the course, participants will:
- Have a clear understanding of what managing a digital image library encompasses.
- Identify current and future issues of digital image management
- Have identified the current options for digital image management and what may best fit their organisation
- Be able to develop a digital image management action plan that addresses the issues and needs of their organisation.
This course is suitable for any museum with digital images. Attendees should be in a position to take responsibility for planning and implementing their organisation’s Digital Image Strategy.
Participants should be willing to complete a “health check” of their digital status before the workshop.
What people are saying about Managing Digital Images:
