This event is for anybody who has taken part in SHARED Enterprise training events since September 2014. The afternoon workshop will explore delegates’ experience of the SHARED Enterprise training programme so far, and is a valuable part of the overall project evaluation. The plan for the day is as follows:
10.00 – 10.30: Arrival and coffee
10.30 – 12.00: Tour of the Garden’s highlights
12.00 – 13.00: Networking lunch
13.00 – 13.30: Introductory activity with Miranda Rowlands, SHARED Enterprise Project Officer
13.30 – 15.30: Evaluation workshop with Sarah Plumb (independent museum researcher and engagement specialist) and Laura Crossley (museum consultant and researcher)
The interactive workshop will use the Most Significant Change (MSC) technique to explore participants’ experiences of the SHARED Enterprise project and how this may have impacted, or will impact, upon your current or future practice. By attending the workshop, it is hoped that participants will gain a good understanding of MSC and will be able to use it to evaluate future projects where applicable.
The MSC technique is a form of participatory evaluation which involves many stakeholders coming together to discuss the multiple impacts, or changes, that participation in a project has had on them. For SHARED Enterprise participants, for example, impacts might include learning new fundraising skills, developing a successful fundraising bid, or making a new connection with a local business partner. Once all the impacts have been discussed together, participants come together to discuss these impacts and the value of the impacts, and to decide which of these changes is the most significant of all. This contributes to project evaluation because it provides information on impact and outcomes that can be used to assess the performance of a project. MSC workshops are interactive and fun, allowing for informal discussions and lots of practical activity.
We have invited a selection of people who have participated in different elements of the project in order to give everyone the opportunity to network with other project participants.
If the cost of travel would prevent you from attending the workshop, SHARED Enterprise may be able to offer some support. Please contact Miranda on firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss.
Places are strictly limited. If you can only attend the afternoon workshop from 1pm, please let us know by adding a comment to the booking form. Similarly, please leave a comment to advise us if you have any special dietary requirements.
