This practical workshop from the Norfolk Museums & Archaeology Service display team is ideal for any staff and volunteers involved in displaying museum objects.
The workshop will include a tour of some of the galleries at Norwich Castle and discussion of the different display techniques used in each, as well as practical sessions on making simple mounts for objects, covering boards, and cutting labels.
Delegates will receive a pack of display equipment to take back to their museums.
By the end of the course the participants will have:
- learnt how to mount objects, cover boards, pin objects on, and mount and cut out labels.
- learnt the importance of the design and planning process when putting together a museum display.
Morning refreshments will be provided, but please make your own arrangements for lunch. There is a café on site.
