The Museum of Power
Trainer: Judith Carruthers, Museum Learning Consultant
We are pleased to announce that we are working with Judith Carruthers to offer a new, revised version of our popular Museums as Learning Spaces course at four separate venues across the region.
This training is ideal for staff and volunteers with no education background, who are new to developing learning resources or who would like to expand into that role. It works best if two representatives come from your museum. When you book, please request two places and enter the name of the second delegate in the “comments” box.
The aim of the course is to inspire and develop the confidence and skills to offer learning opportunities in museums
During the day, we will:
- Explore how visitors learn in museums
- Consider different ways of engaging visitors, particularly families in museums
- Consider how to devise quality trails & simple activities for families
- Share participants’ experiences in developing activities for visitors
We recommend that you discuss this opportunity with your county Museum Development Officer before booking your place.
This event is fully booked.
