SEMF is the regional federation for everyone who works or volunteers in museums and art galleries in the south and east of England. They are an independent membership organisation and aim to promote, support and develop their members on a local and national level.
The South and East region covers the counties of Bedfordshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, Oxfordshire and Suffolk.
SEMF would like to invite museum staff and volunteers from SHARE’s region to their AGM, which will take place on Thursday 17th July at various museum locations in Cambridge. The event is ideal for anyone in museums interested in new developments, new audiences or finding out about museums in Cambridge. It is also a networking event for members/new members of the South and East Museums Federation.
This year’s AGM will look at new developments and planning for new audiences at the newly renamed Museum of Cambridge, Kettles Yard and Cambridge Museum of Technology. The day will begin at the Museum of Cambridge and finish at CMT, with a visit to Kettle’s Yard in between.
The event is free to SEMF members. Non-members will need to pay the £10 membership fee, which includes SEMF membership for the year.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
Disabled access will be varied due to the nature of the buildings and the number of locations visited during the day. If you have specific access issues please contact Sally Ackroyd to discuss your needs.
