SHARE Museums East and ROH & NNF Bridges are pleased to announce that the 2015 Children & Young People Conference will be on 4th February at Coleridge Community College, Cambridge.
The keynote speakers will be Susan Raikes (The British Museum), on the future of learning in museums, and Paul Collard (Creativity, Culture and Education) on creative learning and the cultural sector.
Staff from around the region will be sharing learning projects at their museums, and there will be breakout sessions on themes including WW1, Early Years, HLF Young Roots, and Assessing Creativity. Jo Roberts from GEM (and formerly The Higgins, Bedford) will also speak on new opportunities for professional development.
Following last year’s hugely successful “inspiration” session from young members of the New Wolsey Theatre, we will also be joined by young people from local colleges who will offer a youth perspective on museum learning.
Lunch and all refreshments are included.
