Museum of East Anglian Life
Trainer: Shirley Collier – Coach, Mentor and Consultant
How often do you talk about needing a great team? And how good are you really at building strong teams and being the kind of team member that your colleagues would like? What influence does the team have on fundraising outcomes?
Volunteers, staff, managers and trustees at the Museum of East Anglian Life recently had some coaching with Shirley Collier, through SHARED Enterprise, to help develop their teamwork and fundraising skills. At the workshop they will be sharing what they learned through this valuable opportunity. Here’s what Kate Axon, Development Director at the Museum of East Anglian Life, has to say about it:
“Well worth attending – brilliant, fun and illuminating.”
“It was like a light switching on – my personality and behaviour at work can have a real impact on what we achieve. It was great to be aware of how a team thinks and to get some strategies on how to use this to an advantage.”
This SHARED Enterprise workshop is designed to help kick start great team work and make good teams better. Come with a colleague if you can, if not, be prepared to be part of a new team for the day! Lunch and refreshments are provided.
By the end of the course, participants will:
- understand better what role they play in the fundraising process and how the team’s actions influence fundraising outcomes
- know how to build trust, hold each other accountable, get commitment and buy in from one another
- have an action plan to embed effective habits in their own teams
In order to tailor the workshop content to your needs, please complete a short online survey at:
Staff, volunteers and trustees from any museums in the East of England may complete the survey, even if they are not attending the course. The results and interpretation of this data will be available online in the form of resources produced as part of the course materials.
