This is session one of a six part course. To maximise the benefit of this course it is compulsory that participants book for and attend at least 3 sessions. All participants must attend the first session and are encouraged to attend all six sessions. The final session can only be attended by participants who attended the first session and at least one other.
Session one will discuss the meaning of things and the stories attached to them. How does this influence thinking about museum objects? Participants bring something of personal significance to the session.
Understanding Museums is running twice as part of the 2013-14 calendar year, with the first group beginning on the 20th September 2013, and second group beginning on 24th January 2014.
