Session two will be a field trip to three London museums/galleries, and will provide a broad introduction to the museum landscape and to the early history of museums. Participants will undertake both individual and group work in the chosen museums and there will be plenty of time for discussion.
Please note that this day is planned as an integral part of the course. Further discussions on the history of museums will be included in the sessions that follow. Full details will be given nearer the time.
Understanding Museums is running twice as part of the 2013-14 calendar year, with the first group beginning on the 20th September 2013, and second group beginning on 24th January 2014.
