Museum of East Anglian Life
Trainer – Shirley Collier (coach, mentor, museum consultant) with speakers from the Museum of East Anglian Life.
The training is for museum staff, volunteers, trustees and managers who work as part of a team, whatever your role or specialism.
The museum workforce of today is really diverse – staff and volunteers, young and old – and highly skilled. Making the most of everyone’s skills and helping people to feel motivated and valued is what builds great teams. Come along to this workshop to learn how to really help your team pull together. Come with a colleague if you can, if not, be part of a new team for the day!
The team at the Museum of East Anglian Life recently had some coaching with Shirley Collier, through SHARED Enterprise, to help develop their teamwork and fundraising skills. At the workshop they will be sharing what they learned through this valuable opportunity. Here’s what Kate Axon, Development Director at the Museum of East Anglian Life, has to say about it;
“Well worth attending – brilliant, fun and illuminating”
“It was like a light switching on – my personality and behaviour at work can have a real impact on what we achieve. It was great to be aware of how a team thinks and to get some strategies on how to use this to an advantage.”
In order to tailor the workshop content to your needs, please complete a short online survey at http://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/FT4WY/ Staff, volunteers and trustees from any museums in the East of England may complete the survey, even if they are not attending the course. The results and interpretation of this data will be available online in the form of resources produced as part of the course materials.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
